    Primary 1 - 3 had very important post to sort out today. They were very busy this week writing their letter to Santa and making him a card.  We walked down to the Post Office to get our letters stamped and then we went to the post box to post them.  Thank you to Claire for stamping out letters and to Emmy for the treats he gave us for snack.

    Primary 1 were busy planting crocus bulbs in our wildflower bed. Make sure to keep an eye out for them in the springtime.

  • Success for DPS

    At the Fermanagh County Show awards presentation night on Saturday 19th October at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Derrygonnelly PS won the most points for Best Small School.  Isabella Irvine and Grace Foy collected the cup on behalf of school.  The Collum Shield for the most points to a boy was awarded to Jacob Hassard.  Well done to all the children for taking the time to complete their artwork last year and entering it into the show.

  • PSNI Safety Talk

    Today we had Andy and Sarah from the PSNI in talking to us about how to stay safe this Halloween.  We were talking about how to stay safe in the dark, sparkler safety and firework safety.  Thank you to both Andy and Sarah for their informative afternoon, we look forward to seeing them again.

  • Arty Afternoon in P4 and P5

    Today we had a fun filled afternoon creating desert silhouettes with camels, palm trees and pyramids. A variety of coloured chalks created that sunset mood. Watch this space to see the finished pictures - hopefully next week. 

  • Coding week

    The children from Primary 2-7 enjoyed taking part in ‘Coding Week’.  They were learning about algorithms and how to input instructions to move their sprite around the screen. They were using the Just to Easy JIT and visual app.
