World book day fun!

  • Doodle Stars Winners

    The School Council members presented the person with the highest amount of ‘Doodle Stars’ in each Key Stage with a £20 voucher each. It was a very close competition - well done to everyone and congratulations to the winners.  

  • A Fireside Nativity!

    We performed our Christmas Play in the Orange Hall on Friday 15th December.  A big shout out to all our boys and girls who did a superb job.  Also, a special thanks to all our staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this another positive event for DPS!

  • P1/2 Christmas Crafting

    P1/2 have been busy doing Christmas pictographs, creating dotted icicles, designing number trees, threading stockings, writing a class poem and making reindeer and polar bears. 

     

    However, most importantly we have been counting down the days until Santa comes with our chocolate filled advent calendar around our classroom door!

  • Christmas Hamper Winner 2023

    Our Christmas Hamper draw happened on Friday 8th December and the winner was Emma Maguire - we hope she enjoys the hamper.  

     

    Many thanks for everyone who bought or helped sell tickets. Our final total raised will be released soon.

     

    It's not just a hamper, it's a DPS hamper!

    We had a lovely week with our whole school trip to the Millennium Forum to see Jack and the Beanstalk, Christmas dinner and School Council sponsored walk! 

  • A clean sweep at the Fermanagh County Show

    It was the Fermanagh County Show presentation last night in the Killyhelvin Hotel. 


    The Collum shield for the girl with the highest points was presented to Jenna Foy. 

     

    The Collum shield for the boy with the highest points was presented to Charles Welsh. 

     

    We also won the cup for best small school which was collected by Tessa Fivey, who achieved one the highest point totals in the school. 

     

    We even made a little bit of history as this was the first time we have won all three awards at the same event.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • Farewell Mrs Fawcett

    On Friday 27th October, we had a special assembly to celebrate Mrs Fawcett's 46 years as secretary in our school. There were plenty of happy memories shared and many happy tears shed too. The School Council then presented Mrs Fawcett with her gifts from governors, staff and pupils. Also, she got a book with pictures of her drawn by every child in the school. 

     

    We wish Mrs Fawcett a wonderful retirement and look forward to her calling in regularly for a 'wee cuppa!'

    P7 got their creative juices flowing outdoors this afternoon by working together to build impressive pictures using natural materials. Mrs Irwin helped judge them and Charlie and Harvey were our winners - enjoy spending your fivers boys! #OutdoorsThinking
