A huge congratulations to Harry Donaldson who won the Ulster Farmers Union 'Design a mascot' competition for KS2. Harry really impressed the judges who thought his 'Grow it, Know it, Eat it' mascot design was brilliant. They said the attention to detail of Ollie the cow was outstanding. He was awarded 1st place out of over 4000 entries. Well done Harry! We are very proud of your achievement.

His prize includes £200 for school, £40 for himself and a trip for P4-7 to visit CAFRE in Enniskillen during the Open Farm weekend in June.

Congratulations to all of the pupils on their fantastic Spring art work. The judge from the Fermanagh Gardening Society said that the entries submitted were very impressive and admired by all who attended the daffodil and spring flower show. We had lots of individual winners and also won 1st place in the School Garden category. A special mention to Harper Ferguson who was 1st in the Foundation category out of all participating schools. Thank you to Mrs Ferguson, Mrs Hassard and the children for their hard work and efforts in maintaining this excellent outdoor learning resource.

A big congratulations to the winners of the annual colouring competition by Farrells. The children can collect their prize in-store and see their work displayed in the shop window.

Thank you to Andy and Jason who came in to talk about people we can trust and what to do when we need help.  They also let us try the handcuffs for size.

Well done everyone for their fantastic costumes for World Book Day.  DPS celebrated with lots of fun World Book Day activities.

PSNI came in to talk to P1-5 about ‘Stranger Danger’ and P6-7 about Staying Safe online when using Social media and gaming.  Thank you to Andy and Rachel.

A fantastic night was had by all on Saturday 21st Feb. Great scores and some very tricky questions. Congratulations to our winners and to everyone who took part and supported our evening. 

P1 - 3 were celebrating Valentines Day by writing things they love about their friends in the class. They were able to fill their envelopes with ‘love’.  We hope you all have a lovely Valentines weekend.
