World book day fun!

  The children of DPS want to thank the PTA for their lovely easter treat.  They enjoyed their morning finding clues on the egg hunt around the school and look forward to eating their egg.  A big thank you from Primary 1 - 7.

  

• NSPCC Assembly P1 - 3

  Primary 1 - 3 enjoyed a virtual assembly hosted by Ant and Dec on behalf of NSPCC.  They met Buddy and had interaction and discussions on the importance of staying safe and having the right to be safe.  They learned who they should go to and they should speak out to be safe.

  

• Hockey friendly with Belleek Primary School

  A fantastic afternoon of hockey in the sunshine against Belleek PS on Thursday 10th April. We had a draw in the first match and a win in the second match. All the children played really well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

  

• Happy Mother’s Day

  Primary 1 - 3 had a very busy week making and creating special pieces of work for their Mummy.  They would like to wish all the special ladies a wonderful Mothering Sunday.

   

  

• Success at the Feis

  Congratulations to our Primary 4 - 7 children who sang at the Fermanagh Feis Choir competition.  They excelled in their performance of ‘I have a voice’ and ‘Whisper’, with the adjudicator placing them in 2nd place.  Well done children and thank you for all your hard work.  A big thank you as well to Mrs Morrison, Mrs Logan and Mr Knox, who gave up their time to prepare the children for the Feis.  

  

• PTA Table Quiz

  A fantastic night at our PTA table quiz.  There was a great crowd and lots of fun.  Thank you to everyone who attended, sent donations, helped out in any way and supported the event.

  

• World Book Day 2025

  Derrygonnelly PS celebrates World Book Day by getting creative with their wooden spoons.  Well done to all our pupils for such magnificent creations, you overwhelmed us with your artistic flair and creativity, you really know your book characters. We had a fun afternoon with our World Book Day quiz, well done everyone.

  

• Happy Birthday Mrs Ferguson

  We had a fantastic day celebrating with Mrs Ferguson on her special birthday.  We hope you enjoyed all the treats and singing Mrs Ferguson.  We want to wish you a very happy birthday on hope you enjoy all your celebrations.

  

• Glad to see the sun!

  Primary 1 - 3 were glad to see the sun again and get back out suited and booted in their outdoor play area.  

  

• Folk Park visit with Primary 1 - 7

  Wed 26 Feb 2025

  Primary 1 - 7 had a great day at the Folk Park.  Primary 1 - 4 had to go down to the village where Mrs Campbell gave them a shopping list and money to buy her goods that she needed.  They went to the post office to get her letters and then had to work out what shops they had to go to so as to complete the shopping list.  We had great fun finding everything.  Primary 5 - 7 got to see how pancakes were made long ago and were able to make lavender bags.
