PTA

The school is fortunate to have an active and industrious PTA which carries out activities for both parents and children, but also raises funds for the purchase of additional resources.

Activities are planned throughout the year, with the main event being the annual Colour Run which attracts huge attendance from parents and friends.

Many additional resources have been acquired through the Association's activity and the magnificent generosity of parents, past and present.

Our PTA always welcomes new members or helpers.

Christmas Hamper Raffle

Well done and a big thank you to everyone who sold tickets or gave donations for our Christmas Hamper. Your support is greatly appreciated and again will be very important in helping our children in Derrygonnelly PS. Well done to our winners Mr Balfour Hoey and Mr Andrew Bracken.

PTA Halloween Party

Our PTA organised a fun morning to end of the half-term. The children had fun activities and plenty of halloween treats. Thank you PTA and all who helped to make this morning enjoyable for the children.

New Playground Toys

Our PTA has funded new playground equipment - skipping ropes, giant jinga, giant connect 4, frisbees, giant dominoes, swingball, bowling pins and new footballs.
Our outdoor classroom is also now fitted out with our wellies so all pupils can access them at playtimes to go on the grass. #outdoorplay

PTA Table Quiz

The PTA had a very successful table quiz held in the Reade Hall, Monea on Saturday 24th February. Thank you to everybody who supported this event. It was a great, family fun evening.

The children enjoyed their fun-filled afternoon organised by the PTA, thank you to all who helped out.

PTA Help Out Day May 2023

The sun came out for our PTA Help Out Day - a boundary of sleepers for our new play area were laid, some trees were planted and lots of painting happened around the school. There was a lovely community feel with lots of friendly banter! Thanks again to everyone who gave up their valuable time. 👍🏻

8 New iPads funded by PTA! (May 2023)

Easter Egg Hunt - Wednesday 5th April. The children enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt down at Tully Castle to finish the Spring term. Thank you to the PTA for organising the event and providing the goodies for the children.
